Nearly 300 years of history
An exceptional residence
The history of our private mansion begins in 1750, with its construction. Between 1846 and 1909, the Thiollier family owned what was then known as the Hôtel d'Espagne. After a reconstruction in 1900, it was gradually transformed between 1910 and 1926.
The opera suites were a hotel in the 19th century and transformed into a private mansion in the early 20th century. We offer you the best of both worlds.
At the request of its owner, Dr. Therre, exceptional sculptors, plasterers, cabinetmakers, and glassmakers, such as Francis Chigot and Émile Soccard, worked together to create this exceptional building. During the Second World War, the hotel served as a field hospital.
Your host is passionate about establishments with character. These include The Biltmore in Phoenix, the DPNY in Ilhabela, and the Hyatt Regency in Tokyo, which inspired him to acquire a hotel.
